- Wash the chicken pieces well.
- Grind together the ingredients listed under "to grind" to a smooth paste.Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and saute onions till they become light brown.Add ginger garlic paste and green chilli.Saute till the raw smell goes.
- Add chopped tomato,saute,cover and cook till they become soft and mushy.Now add the prepared masala paste.Saute well till oil starts to separate.
- Now add in the chicken pieces,curry leaves and enough salt.Mix everything well and make sure that the chicken pieces are coated well with the masala.
- Cover and cook in low-medium flame.(add 1/2 cup of water if needed; depends on the consistency of the gravy you need).Cook till the chicken pieces are cooked well.
- Remove from fire and serve hot.Goes well with parotta,naan or roti.
