  1. Add Chicken, curd, salt & red Chilli powder & lemon juice to a bowl. Mix well & keep aside for minimum 1 hour.
  2. Dry roast a red chilli, peppercorns, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, black cardamom & cloves in a wok.
  3. Add Ghee & vegetable oil. Sauté for 2 mins.
  4. Add finely chopped onions & fry till golden brown on medium flame.
  5. Add the ginger garlic paste when onions begin browning & continue frying on med low flame till onions are well done.
  6. Add tomato puree to the onions & sauté well for 2 mins on medium high flame.
  7. Add marinated chicken, cover & cook on medium-high flame for about 15-20 mins, or till when tomatoes are cooked completely. The water in tomatoes will dry down completely.
  8. Add Degi Mirch, Coriander Powder, Turmeric Powder, Garam Masala & Cumin Powder. Mix well & sauté well for 5 mins.
  9. Add freshly chopped coriander leaves & mix well. Add any balance marinade, if left.
  10. Adjust salt as per taste. Add some water as per your requirement of gravy consistency. Cover & cook for 20 minutes on medium flame or till when the chicken is well cooked.
  11. Add Kasoori Methi & Butter. Mix well. Serve hot with Naan, Chapati or Paaranthas.
